Find Your Perfect Fit
Whole-person support. Survivor-centered. Always at no cost.
Our programs are designed to support your body, care for your emotional well-being, and connect you with a community that understands. You can choose what feels right for you—based on your needs, your schedule, and where you are in your journey.

A Community of Strength, Resilience, & Joy
At Breast cancer Recovery in Action, Inc., we believe survivorship is not one-size-fits-all. Every survivor’s path is different—and support should meet you where you are. Join us at any point in your journey—newly diagnosed, in treatment, newly finished, years out, or living with metastatic disease.
Our Programs
Exercise
Our small-group workouts are offered in multiple locations and bring survivors together in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
Led by certified trainers experienced in working with breast cancer survivors, sessions focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.
More than fitness, this is a space to:
- Rebuild trust in your body
- Grow stronger alongside other survivors
- Prepare for what’s next
Our goal is for you to eventually outgrow us—to feel comfortable in your body and ready to take your next steps.
We currently offer in-person classes in Middle TN, Northeast TN (Bristol & Kingsport), and Florida (Panama City Beach).
Nutrition
Nutrition information can feel overwhelming—especially after a breast cancer diagnosis. Our virtual nutrition programming is designed to bring clarity, not confusion.
Created and led by a registered dietitian who understands survivorship, our approach focuses on:
- Evidence-informed education
- Sustainable, realistic habits
- Clear, trustworthy information
BRA has cultivated relationships with trusted experts so survivors have access to reliable, credible information without fear or confusion. Our goal is to empower you with knowledge that supports long-term wellness.
Emotional Wellness
Our Emotional Wellness groups are led by trained facilitators who are themselves breast cancer survivors. These small-group experiences go beyond sharing stories—they are structured, guided, and focused on growth.
Using a book-based curriculum, participants explore:
- Coping strategies and stress management tools
- Practical ways to move forward
- Honest conversations in a safe, supportive space
Breast cancer shapes you. It does not define you. These groups help you integrate your experience into your life with strength, clarity, and resilience.
Available both in person and virtually.
Education & Connection
Support doesn’t stop with programs—it continues through shared experiences. We offer multiple programs throughout the year to support ongoing learning and connection.
BRA Banter
Our signature monthly series brings survivors and experts together in a fresh, accessible way. Delivered as a prerecorded webcast, each session features expert speakers, engaging discussions, and actionable insights. All sessions are recorded and available to watch on your schedule. Learn More
BRA Buddy
BRA Buddy connects a newly diagnosed or actively navigating survivor with a BRA member who is at least one year beyond treatment. BRA Buddy completes the circle of survivorship—strengthening both the one reaching out and the one reaching back.
A Full-Circle Experience
Whether you join us at diagnosis, during treatment, newly finished, five years out, 27 years out, or living with metastatic disease — there is a place for you here.
Our hope is simple: To provide the tools, strength, and resilience you need to go live a full and beautiful life.
- Outgrow the workouts.
- Carry the knowledge forward.
- Stay connected.
- Come back when you need us.
- Give back when you’re ready.
All programming is offered at no cost to BRA members — because support should never depend on ability to pay.
So thankful for this organization. Where else can you find exercise, nutritional advice, and mindful counseling all with the same group of people? The time I’ve invested in this group has far outreached my expectations and has introduced me to friendships that will last a lifetime. Thank you BRA!” - Linda

FAQs
What is the BRA Program?
The BRA Program is our approach to whole-person survivorship support. It includes exercise, nutrition, emotional wellness, and opportunities for education and connection—designed to support you physically, emotionally, and in community.
Do I have to participate in every part of the program?
Not at all. You can participate in one program or several, depending on what feels right for you. Many survivors start with one area and explore others over time.
What if I’m nervous about joining?
That’s completely normal. Many people feel unsure at first. Our programs are designed to be welcoming and supportive, and you can participate at your own pace. There’s no pressure to share or engage beyond what feels comfortable.
Do I need to be cleared by my doctor to participate?
For exercise programming, we recommend following guidance from your care team, and will require medical clearance to begin fitness groups. However, you can participate in other areas—like Emotional Wellness, Nutrition, and Education—without needing medical clearance.
Can I participate if I don’t live nearby?
Many of our programs—including Nutrition, Emotional Wellness, and BRA Banter—are offered virtually, making it possible for survivors to participate from wherever they are.
Our exercise classes are currently offered in person in select locations, but we are always looking to expand and partner with communities to bring programming to new areas. If you’re interested in getting involved where you live, we would love to connect.
What qualifications do you have?
First, we’ve been where you are; we are survivors too. We have more than 15 years of experience in creating and managing breast cancer survivorship programming.
Our staff holds professional certifications and licensure from their respective boards, as well as additional certifications relevant to breast cancer survivors.
Our medical advisory board is always available to help with any situation or circumstance.
